The 340 hp Cummins QSC 505 cu. in. engine has the power to take the Eagle 8650, with its 1,200-gallon stainless steel product tank, places it probably shouldn't go and enough fuel to get there with its 140 gallon fuel tank. Full Authority Electronic controls produce more power with less fuel by matching engine speed, rated engine torque and power curves. That power translates into getting big jobs done fast, but done right. Capable of producing 1,050-ft. lbs. of torque at 1,400 rpm, traction is no problem for the 8650. Channeled through the twin hydro transmissions, that power is transferred to all four wheels.

The 50-gallon hydraulic fluid reservoir, pressure compensated axial piston pump and 10-micron absolute return filter ensure more than adequate pressure to handle power steering, service brake, wheel tracking and boom functions. The non-kickback steering unit ensures that priority flow goes to steering for operator safety.

The Eagle 8650 delivers crop inputs at up to 120 gpm at 61 psi with the standard application pump or up to 160 gpm at 30 psi with the GPM Plus Hypro pump option. Either pump is more than sufficient to handle the 60/80- (13-foot tip), 90- (15-foot tip), or even 100-foot (20-foot tip) spray booms available for the 8650. All three booms are full breakaway and both pumps are equipped with electric/hydraulic controls for rates as low as 10 gpm or as high as 160 gpm.
